As I stand here on the road of life,

All alone not another person in sight,

Feelings of loneliness and stress,

Wanting to do anything to get some rest,

I think and I ponder,

I dream and I wonder,

What lies ahead of me?

What’s down this road for I cannot see?

They say no one sees into the future but it’s

Obvious someone took a peek,

Trying really hard to keep me from my destiny.

Am I moving or am I stuck?

Everyday I’m in a rut.

It’s hard to walk in the dark with no light.

So I grab my Bible, it’s the first thing in sight.

I opened it up and then took a look.

To my surprise that was all that it took.

My path became straight and I could thus see,

Some of the things that were ahead of me.

I couldn’t see waaaaaaay down the road like I thought I should,

But this little light of my path did more than I ever could.

It was just enough light for me to see.

Everything that was right before my feet.

The obstacles that were laid before I was made.

The pot holes that I couldn’t see before were there no more.

I’m walking down this road of life, trying hard with all my might,

To walk straight forward and not look back.

I’m only human, I can’t help that.

Without a thought I turned around,

And what I saw it made me smile.

All the things that made me fall,

Are in my past, I’m still standing TALL.

My little guiding light is all that I need,

To see the things that’s at my feet.

I got to stay focused, got to turn back around,

Got to get back on track, for I’m Heaven bound.

Sometimes I fall, sometimes I get weak,

But my bible says greater is He that is in me.

At times I get weary, at time I get faint.

Wanting to give up but I know that I can’t.

And that’s when it all becomes so clear.

I’m never alone, my Savior is near.

Leading me, guiding me, directing my steps.

All I have to do is call on Him for help.

Father, I need you right now to make a way.

Open your Bible is what He would then say.

He then tells me why it is that I cannot see.

What’s down the road is BIGGER than what I could

Ever imagine it to be.

I agree, that's what He would say. Opening your Bible is like opening a treasure chest filled with the riches of God's Word. It's a sure way to get to know Him better and to find the wisdom He provides.
