DARK POETRY OCTOBER 2010

within these past couple weeks there have been
some murders in my area and nearby towns.
A man would stop to talk to people about Honey Bees.
(know known as the Honey Bee Killer)
Then he would leave, and then he returned and
told a farmer it was his unlucky day
and shot him & wounded another
while yet another fled into a corn field.
this happened in Beecher, Il.
Then he stole a vehicle and came to Lowell, Indiana
and he shot another farmer.
It is frightful that we are not even safe to work outside
and think a person is being neighborly-but truly
has ulterior motives of ill wishes & bad intentions

Then yesterday morning a man from Tennessee killed his girlfriend
then took hostage at gun point another man from
Kentucky to drive him to a new destination. They were apprehended in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
The gunman was either killed or killed himself at Zuni's pizza. Zuni's has the
best pizza!. It is very freaky since I am in these areas...and to think
these people lost their lives?!
Their families must be devastated!

at a moments notice...everything can & will change forever:

Father of Darkness

Who woke to the sound of love being destroyed
Shattered within the plague of affliction’s silence?
As destruction’s eyelessness rises in lessons learned
unequivocally abundant to the insecure thought givers,
perceptions curse is guided to reach deeper within;
Questioned nightly by the shadowy father of darkness…

We long ago entered an era where the guilty are all too frequently excused or pardoned. By a criminal justice system that values absolute adherence to the procedures of law rather than concerning itself with justice and protecting the innocent. Until we right that horrible wrong the criminal elements in America are fully aware of what they can do without the fear of being held accountable. A look at the darkness that lives within the souls of some men Vickie. Also an important message that it is no longer wise to be openly neighborly to total strangers. A pity. But a fact never the less. Love and peace to you my dear friend. Jon Michael

Oh dear oh dear, when will America realise that the right to bare arms was when the new world was being established. Such a great nation should lead the way and change that, now, constitutional faux par. Many would still be alive.

The gun is the most wretched invention in history.

Be safe pretty lady.

I love the title and the word usage here is superb Vic. As for the subject I also, when I hear of such insanity as murder, rape, drunk drivers etc, feel sadness for the victims and their loved ones but also for the loved ones of the criminal. all too often to their families they are loving, caring, sharing fathers, sons, uncles etc. What a heavy burden these people who are also innocent will bear for the rest of their lives.

It is too bad we live in a society of such unspeakable madness and that we can't feel safe in our own homes! My heart goes out to the families~
