just because you give me a speech before you break my heart, does that mean it is suppose to hurt less?

Just because this is better for you, better opportunities and offers coming your way, does that mean it is suppose to hurt less?

I was never a part of your future, never apart of your plan, good only through the difficult times, then tossed to the side like trash. Making me hurt even more.

I am not angry because you stopped loving me, but sad because you didn't think i was worth holding on to.

I will be replaced by someone who will gain what I deserved. You will eventually be replaced by someone who will not get past this wall.

I was meant to be here for a month, like the others in your past. I slipped through the cracks and lasted years.

I understand, I get it.             But does that mean it is suppose to hurt less?
