Hellfire and Damnation
by Connie Wilson

Each story in "Hellfire & Damnation" is unified by its illustration of one of the sins represented by the 9 Circles of Hell in Dante's "Inferno."..

Shipwrecked

Shipwrecked

My heart is a barren desert

Waiting for the rain

My soul is parched and thirsty

Fill me once again

My faith has become shipwrecked

Upon a barren shore

I need Living Water

To swell up once more

My mind has become cluttered

With worry and with strife

The peace that I once knew

Has drifted from my life

The emptiness within me

Echoes in my soul

I need a new infilling

Father, make me whole

Child, you’re not abandoned

I’ve never left your side

I’m forever faithful

In you I do abide

Be still and know my presence

Let love wash over you

You are seated in high places

Where all is made anew

Mmmmmmmm, wonderful. He is faithful and hears our cries for cleansing.
You have nailed it in this encouraging write.
