It is sad, but...they do exist...all over the world. These 'Private Clubs'...close-knit 'social circles' where their way of thinking, their main objective is... money. And they exist because there are people that feel...it's all about 'me', it's all about 'we', it's all about...'us'.

This is another work by my son, Asa, who most of you have had the pleasure of reading. Some of his other works are listed here on my den. He, as this work substantiates, is a deep thinking young man who has an unique way of 'voicing' his opinion regarding everything, which includes many social universal issues. Asa is presently incarcerated, so...as a means of encouragement, I make a copy of all the reviews that are posted for his work and mail them to him. I Thank you so much for taking the time to read his work and for leaving your comments.

The door is open here...with limited chairs

and out of a whole...

only less than a quarter know we're here

$

Invisible is the look...

we slightly move...then betray...but

it's the total opposite of what we appear to be

$

And due to keeping secrets...lies...have been told

...members have been granted commerce...but

life is ...unsure

$

So, please...follow the greed within you and

join this...private club

THIS IS A TRUTH THAT CANNOT BE IGNORED OR DENIED AND THESE 'CLUBS' DO EXIST BECAUSE OF THE 'LUST' FOR MORE AND MORE MONEY...REGARDLESS OF THE CONSEQUENCES. CONSEQUENCES...WHICH ARE ALWAYS SAD AND MANY TIMES SO DEVASTATING WITH THE TRAGIC DESTRUCTION OF HUMAN LIVES AND OUR NATURAL RESOURCES. YOU HAVE APTLY DESCRIBED THE 'DOOM' OF OUR VERY EXISTENCE. A TIMELY WORK DONE SO VERY WELL. THANK YOU, SON AND GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE AND MUCH FAITH....JOYCE(MOM)*HIS INSPIRATIONS

You have touched on a subject that affects so many in various ways. They say money can be the root of evil, but thats not always true. In any society, the almighy dollar can buy some things which otherwise might be unobtainable. Your words give one much to think about. I understand what it's like where you are as my son has been through some of it also. Keep writing and sharing Asa . You are truely gifted....M

Asa, in my parlance this are the world's ever growing population of "plastic people". Aggressive, obtrusive, disingenuous, ego centric paper cut out people. Reality, morality, ethics are not a part of their personalities. Their every move, word and action is, MEEEEEEE! You've summed this real life scenario up quite well in your, "CLUBS'US". I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael

There is much to ponder in this piece. "Private" clubs of all kinds exist: some are purely evil, some are filled with the greedy and selfish, and only a very few welcome all. A sad truth, but well written. God bless. ~Elizabeth

Asa,

Your powerful words ring a blatant truth! The ultra wealthy are a different breed from most of us and some, not all, are very arrogant re: their wealth. The majority of people have a regular or somewhat middle income existence and they are the people on this earth who are, for the most part, REAL down-to-earth people and I say ... God bless them! Your take on this subject is awesome and well penned. Let us not, as a people, ever join this private club of greed.

Well done, keep writing. Joy L. Hale

We all want to belong to the haves but when you really look at it, it is the have nots that have the people of substance and character and make far better company than the haves. Great work Asa!

You hit it on the nail Asa. Shameful when life is centered on making money and ignoring more important things.

Sadly it's truth you write about, Asa....too many in this world focus on the stuff that doesn't matter in the end.....some very powerful phrasing here. Well done! Keep on writing....
