Strange Love

This is a poem written as a song.It is talking about how one can be deceived by a false love.

Sweet lyrics, persuading words
Compelling moves, sensual thoughts.
All said to get my lonely heart
And set my standards apart.

You promised me a love that was without border;
Said your love will take me yonder.
Now that you've got what you've been looking for:
Strange, strange, how love can be;
Very strange, strange, how love can be.

Why the lies, why deceptions?
Why the sudden change in actions?
After you've got my body and heart
You left me with a broken heart.

I'll never be in love again
I'll never give my heart away
I thought that I knew true love,
Until you showed me that love can be;
Strange. Strange, strange, how love can be.
