Peace is all around you when the wind is in the air
Peace resolves misunderstanding if you let it, I declare
Is it language, clan or skin colour which prevent peace to flourish
Resolved by that single person with the extra ounce of courage?
I wonder how we’d be if the world did start again
Would it instantly be of violence, of hurt and dreadful pain?
Or would we strive to understand each person with a difference
And find what was the common thread found in every nation?
Don’t blame the child he’s yet to learn, where he will play his role
Ensure his parent’s part to give him values for his soul
Melt the guns and greediness the menu is not right
And let the battle rage, in your head and out of sight
Then let us hope and let us pray and ever keep awake
The spirit of peace and understanding for each others sake
It starts with you. It starts with me. The ripple moves along
It moves in smiles and handshakes and sometimes even song.
Peace, La Paix, Comanche, Salaam, Shalom,
It’s peace in every nation, spoken in the home.
So let the peace dove fly to reach the human heart
Look closely at yourself. That’s where the Peace will start.
