God’s Voice Wafting From High

A villanelle Poem

Dark draws nigh.

Day is done.

God’s voice wafting from high.

Light dims by and by.

Retreating Sun,

Dark draws nigh.

Twilight at hand, can’t deny.

Epoch near, no where to run ,

God’s voice wafting from high.

It is finished, body will die,

It’s time to reckon,

Dark draws nigh.

Must not despair or question why,

“Trials are over, Well done My son,”

                God’s voice wafting from high.

“I love you, that you can rely,

Nothing to dread - worry none.”

Dark draws nigh

God’s voice wafting from high.

Intelligently constructed, Michael, with a palpable message. A good combination for readers of poetry and prose. Peace and continued inspiration ... richard
