Sores heal

Time oozes through the very sores

Inflicted on our lives—

Encrusted scabs that hardly heal

Stick painfully to our sides.

But then, a dart of pain reveals,

Where once a scar resides,

A rosy-red that fades away

To pink and healthy pores.
