| I like Janna Hill's take; observing downward. Rousing lines, "I thought by now/I'd be quite dead/" A jingle of a little astonishment. |

| This poem reads consistent with the philosophy of your "Love Shards", allowing the aging process to remain positive, to see that living life fully is sometimes a case of reinvention, and other times just a willingness to simply turn the coin over and accept the alternative. Would you live the same nightmares? Perhaps not, but most likely you would find new ones, given your propensity for embracing change in your life. A free verse of perplexing questions for us all to reflect on. Thank you for presenting the idea of choice living on as we age. |

I don't suppose there's a human being alive who'd say if they could do it again they wouldn't change a thing! I know I can't say that...lots to chew on in this one, Jerry! Well done!

it's a fine way to reflect on yesterday's gone bye, but as your poem suggests, while we're here now, we'd best drink to marrow... here's to the meat on them bones, matey...

Jerry, we all wonder the same things, but now is the time to live. You have a second chance to live a joyful life, and you know this. Let the past go, and revel in the present...don't worry about the future it will come nothing you can do about that, but enjoy what you have in the moment and know it's so beautiful just to be alive.
Great thought provoking poetry....
Peace, love, and light,
Amber |
