Two lovers separated by space and time who finally meet in their old age

Wings on the Wind of Love

You entered in on the breeze capturing me and holding me for your own

Whispered kisses I embraced as your gentle hands caressed my face

I beheld you and gazed into your eyes in awe and wonder of who you were

And then absorbed my soul unto yours and we became one mind one spirit

Such a tenderness I felt as you kissed me softly and held me in your embrace

I leaned back into your chest feeling the pounding of your heart so strong

My heart danced with the flames of desire as you opened its door unto me

Opening my heart's door you brushed my fears away and put forth love

Leaves descending in a swirling dance and their brilliant colors remind me of a dream

To open my heart's door and let you inside my fears were subdued.

Oh gentle soul, gentle man you do not know how you stir me alive

An awakening of all that which was kept in my little treasure chest of dreams

Like the watchman in the Lighthouse for oncoming vessels I protect what we have

For nothing can shatter our vessel upon the rocks and destroy that which is beautiful

Closely and tightly I hold you unto me my protector of dreams and desire

Like that of the stars in the heavens that remain above they cannot be dimmed

When I close my eyes I feel your warm breath upon my skin how it envelopes me

I feel the softness of your skin against mine as you brush a strand of hair from my face

Looking at you as I dream, you gently awaken me with the caress of your hands

You trace every inch of my body and behold it only unto yourself as beautiful

You press your lips gently upon my skin and taste the sweetness it yields to you

Of this sweetness I put forth love and an awakening unto your soul that which had waned

I have brought forth in you that which was lost and now has been rekindled

It is yours and yours alone my love for no other can have the dream we have shared

No word or thought can adequately describe that which you stir within me

Only two hearts that beat as one, shared one to the other can feel the meaning

We sit and share our cup of tea in the beauty of nature and we reach out and touch

Two hands now wrinkled with time embrace but two souls that burn long as youth forever

You are the Wings on the Wind of Love
