****************************************

Some years ago it was reported that an unidentified flying object had landed in Voronezh, Russia. As proof of the event the town fathers produced a large boulder of unknown consistency that the visitors left behind, when they departed. What are we to make of this? Do we believe the story with a wink? Or was it true ?

****************************************

What is always interesting about these alien ships that land

Concerns the choice of landing sites by the aliens in command.

These people, always brilliant, sometimes short and fat an'

Seldom tall and slender, never land their ships in Manhattan.

They're always landing saucers 100 miles from Albuquerque

In the middle of some desert land for reasons only murky.

If they really want to observe us; to test us in our mettle,

Why choose such peculiar landing sites? A query we must settle!

Instead of driving their spaceships into some desert ditch

Why not park on Manhattan's East Side? Buy a pastrami sandwich

And observe our civilization, as it truly exists....in Times Square,

To judge us by New Mexican standards really isn't fair.

Once they landed in a Soviet city, the outskirts of Voronezh;

The whole thing witnessed by many. That's what in Tass it says.

If they had chosen Moscow, the event would've had more sock.

What did they do in Voronezh? They left a rather large piece of rock?

One wonders if they found that rock somewhere in Wyoming.

That they picked up as they merrily around our planet go roaming.

A similar finding would give the folks in Montpelier, Vt. a shock.

Imagine finding a boulder at City Hall, that had come from Vladivostok.

At least someone else is spotting these UFO ships now.

Maybe someone in the Russian Republic can figure out the how

And why some theories go up in smoke, while probing queries sour,

Like, why do they land at 3 a.m. and never during rush hour?

Good point, although there is the sighting over Phoenix a few years back they claimed were lighted parachutes.Patrick

A fun, farcical take on a pet peeve of mine. Yes, Virginia, there are UFOs. Unidentified flying objects are just that until they are identified. As for rushing rocks, I don't give a damn. ;-)

If you find one, and you sure that it's alien. Please bring it to me right away so that I can verify it, bless it, and make it a whole.
