...and yet another addiction...

This one I KNOW I will NOT be able to overcome...

Helps, believe it or not, to keep me serene,

Also seems to keep my colon clean,

Find it do we in practically everything we ingest,

Written about in many a Reader’s digest…

Tried did I of late to lose its effects,

By mid-day though a migraine in all respects,

Till I did knock down a Mt. Dew,

As well a coffee, sending me to the loo…

So this is a hard addiction to surpass,

Guess for the rest of my life it won’t pass,

Hard to believe, yes, it does actually make me serene,

Ah, the powerful effects of the legal drug caffeine…J

I drink a lot of strong black coffee between 8 and 11 in the morning. NEVER after noon or I cannot sleep. Patrick

This one actually rhymes and reminds me of that Colombian refrain… “Cocaine.”

Caffeine as is addictive as they could be nicotine so it's no wonder that you are hooked on it with your addictive personality.

I'm beginning to drink more coffee since it is good for you in many ways. But Tea is my thing still, strong English Black Tea or Mint Tea.

I hear you, my friend. Three cups of coffee first thing in the morning keeps me going most all day long and nearly never get a headache. And yes, it does keep the internal system clean and flowing well.
Well said, Ed.
