For Love

and for the Laughing Daffodil

They tell me about heaven and hell
Heaven knows and with hell to pay
Through these two say well one anyway
The other or nothing between

For me like they would like it to be
Like this duality they mean
This is the reality they sell
Profitably but not to me

They tell me about it but I doubt it

Not buying because they are lying
Preaching each exclusivity
By stories of glories of control
Cheap tricks to keep me from my soul

No thank you I would rather be free
To journey through a universe
Of up and down for better or worse
Not below nor above: for love

Why and how and who we are to be
The best of us our destiny
All we ever really know and all
We get to bring from spring into the fall

As long as we are we might as well
Be us beyond duality
At last one world past heaven and hell
For love: the one reality

I live for love as my reason why
So if God is love then so am I

Yes! If it's true that we are created in God's image and if God is love then, just as you write, so are we!!! I like the choice you've made!
