“As we go down life's lonesome highway

Seems the hardest thing to do is to find a friend or two,

A helping hand - Someone who understands,

That when you feel you've lost your way,

You've got someone there to say I'll help you.”

Lionel Ritchie,

Say You, Say Me

Morning Rush Hour

On A Busy Highway

He’s Lost and All Alone

Will He Survive This Day

And Very Soon, The Chase Has Begun

By Some Compassionate State Troopers

They All Try Very Hard, To Capture Him

But He’s Frightened, Through and Through

Several Miles Down This Busy Highway

This Little Lost Soul Takes The ‘Off Ramp’

Here, Several Caring Souls Try To Catch Him

Despite Their Compassionate Efforts, They Can’t

He Has Now Journeyed Over Seven Miles In 100 Degree Heat

He Eventually Takes Refuge In Some Tall Grass By The Road

A Very Determined Young Man, Finally Corrals This Lost Soul

Everyone Is Now Joyous, On The News, His Story Soon Unfolds

He Is Now Exhausted, Dehydrated, And One Of His Paws Is Bleeding

So I Pick Him Up, He’s Too Tired To Protest, And We Are On Our Way

I Carry Him To My Truck, And Then Transport Him To My Vet’s Office

Where Lucky Little ‘Rags’ Is On The Road To A Much Better Life Today

Morning Rush Hour

On A Busy Highway

He Is Lost and All Alone

But He Did Survive This Day

Thanks To Many Caring People

This Little Lost Soul, Is Now Safe

No Longer Lost, Alone, Or Afraid

it makes me so sad that any animal is ever alone & hungry
not just for food but their need for love...
just like we need kindness & tenderness & compassion they too
need the same emotional wealth...
..and too (as I am sure you know) it can be dangerous to try
and catch a stray lost from home as they are frightened
and may bite-which doesn't mean they are a mean animal
they are just scared...it takes patience too save some
I used to be a zoo house for saving all the animals
I even try to save baby birds, rabbits & all the toads :)
