A poem about escaping to be free

Born into a wilderness of unbroken grey

Seeking perfect moment just to run away

Fire dwells inside your heart

Yet you can’t provide the flame

For those senior lives who failed

Extinguish it with blame

Young soul with shielded wings

A virtue yet untold

Chained to the floor of common life

Yearning to unfold

A chance to reach new pastures

Now’s the time to run

Leave behind what’s broken

Head towards the sun

Prejudice and hatred

No longer are your chains

Freedom is your world to roam

The future still remains

An uplifting, inspiring message to the reader. Makes you want to get up, charge out and do something.
