I have strong feelings for someone,
And he doesn’t know it yet.
But when it comes to me,
He just does not quite get.
I dare not tell him,
For he may not feel the same.
As I may be to him,
Nothing but a game.
I feel so clumsy around him,
As I don’t know how to act.
I keep meaning to tell him,
Not sure how he’ll react.
So for now it is my secret,
To keep unto myself.
I can imagine all I want,
And not be tossed to a shelf.
Guess some things are meant to be,
While others go away.
So not much I can do,
But love him anyway.

The quandary that you are expressing in this poem is probably the result of a forbidden kind of relationship or the fear that love will not be returned. I guess that if someone has these kinds of thoughts, they should refrain from trying to establish a relationship until circumstances change–and they often do. Well written.

Hi Fawn!
This is precious, Fawn! And remember, there are signs... just watch for the signs. =))

Sweet... ...and your theme is a timeless and universal one, Fawn. Nicely expressed. Thanks for sharing. Love and best wishes,
