Perhaps you think you are too good or not good enough
to receive and only should give.

Do you give with enthusiasm?

Do you feel excited about giving?

Do you receive with the same enthusiasm?

Do you feel excited when you receive?

Why do we have difficulty:

Receiving a complement?

Receiving the fruits of your labor with ease?

Receiving a hug?

Receiving a constructive suggestion?

Perhaps you do not think you are worthy of receiving!

Perhaps you think only certain forms of receiving matters!

Perhaps you do not want to be obligated by receiving.

Perhaps you do not want to get hurt again.

Perhaps your story of lack and disconnection
in a strange way is comfortable for you.

Perhaps you think you are too good or not good enough
to receive and only should give.

Change your belief about receiving.

Practice receiving small things first.

Receive all your blessings with ease and joy.

Perhaps, you have peeped iside the soul of many as you walk along the paths of such a subject. This is one to ponder while reading each line.

As your check list of whys and wherefores suggest, our ability to receive is tainted by distorted views of self and the nature of reciprocity where the heart and mind conjoins to remain open and compatible. It took me over 60 years of adulthood before I felt I was worthy of receiving, so I am very empathetic to your premise here.
