Enter Inner Peace

Beauty for being a queen
comes easy when blessed
outwardly perfected

Does she know about
real life when the red
roses fade and whither
the glory

Will she wake up one
day alone of black never
knowing that only inner
beauty brings true

Mirror, mirror keeps no
secrets and tells no lies
regardless of what you
see...You are

(c) Exit of Beauty
Vivian L Dawson

To My Friends and Colleagues I wish to
clarify this poem because of comments,
something that I do Not normally do...but
here goes...
I was a Beauty Queen...and
then became a successful Model...just to
let you know
just how personal this is with
no intention
of misleading anyone...

Even so, I TRULY do appreciate ALL
comments and/or concerns, and want
You to continue to write what You feel
for any future writings...

Feeling so thankful to have been
blessed by God...but also knowing
the need to earn my right passage to
becoming a person of Value from the
inside to the outside I would be taking
on these hard lessons from the many
pressures in life...which I did...and now
feeling the better for it, I took on the task
of writing about it.

 Loving and Sincerely, Lady Vivian

The world would be boring if we all looked the same...beautiful women are nice to look at for both men and women for beauty is beautiful inside and out,it is how you project yourself whether
you have that outside beauty or not. It is what you carry inside
that counts, Vivian!

I'm not sure if I contribute to the notion that beauty is only skin deep, that old stereotype has been disproved many times in my life. Your words are certainly true that omly inner beauty brings peace. It's probably best to avoid the mirror when the red roses begin to fade. This is a well written piece on a well trodden theme.

The secret to beauty lies not in the skin but inside the mind and heart deep within. I can see that you have no lack thereof and there are no limits to that kind of love.

Beauty is capturing the heart with a gentle soul.
Love that you were a Beauty Queen and a successful Model.
You are a Queen of beauty in friendship mdf.

In High school, beauty ruled with a young mind and sometimes vanity took over. Teens were segregated in groups. Popular, nerds, druggies and that sort of thing. Often we carry with us the impressions left upon us during our sensitive years. I was a shy sort, not particularly attractive a plain Jane lol... this was my favorite theme song then.

However after my awkward years and shyness I opened up. I also noticed years later these same popular teens became very giving wonderful people. I'm sure there will always be a few that rely on their looks and not their inner self. But in general maturity and knowledge kicks in and a sense of giving and love to others.

This leaves me with the sense that perhaps you were shunned or hurt.

It is strange, but I found that beautiful people often are more kind, generous, and loving than those that were not granted beauty by their birth. I think that's why naturally beautiful people get further in life. For those that spend a lot of time and money trying to get beautiful, I feel it's mostly a waste of time and money. We all have strengths that we should work on all of our lives to enhance. Those strengths will carry us through no matter what happens to the rest of us.

Oh my. Right to the heart of it in such a gracious way. I suspect you have that inner beauty. I have spoken of this with my daughter when she was small and now I hear her telling her daughter who is six. You are so right, and you said it so well. Be well, Kathy

you speak of what many do not understand as the outward fades..the true beauty always came from with in..and is what matters

What'd she ever do to you, Vivian? She seems to be a perfect lady who is . . . er . . . quite adequately endowed by her creator.

Hah! I know whereof you speak though. Beauty, is, as they say, only skin deep, but oh boy, gotta love that skin. Heehee I'm having so much fun here. There will, of course come a time when the attributes aren't quite as . . . er ... perky as once they were, and sometimes they droop and sag so much they . . . Wait just a minute. No need for drooping or sagging as long as there is plastic surgery.

Sorry, Vivian, I just can't seem to get serious about this one. Hah! Guess I'd better go.
