Dog Days of Summer

No shirt...No shoes
No Service...even
though I am awfully
cute with my pearls

Consequently I must
wag my tail instead of
my tongue because I
am a Dog who likes
her treats

Treat me nice and I
will obey making you
safe by day and night

When I read the title I rather expected to see a poem about sultry summers but it does not pay to make assumptions with you. A much more domesticated offering here, one for the dog people I think, and there are many of us.

Marvelous - and I always prefer the wag of a tail to the wag of a tongue.

"Woof, woof! I want my treats, please." This is an adorable and most clever poem. The picture is precious and so right on the theme of your poem. Enjoyed this very much, Lady Vivian.
