Brown is not a sexy dress color

Daisies are for twisted chains of love

A smidgen bow should only be glued

on little girls underwear,

Three Hershey squirts of sweet potatoes

and a dastardly decorative scallop

that’s not dinner,

The job description did not include comedian

not entirely sure what makes you happy

(And it’s not trying this again)

High heels, pardon me stilettos,

nah, give me sandals with painted toes

and a lipstick with a disturbing name,

“get it” having grown up with a brother,

but, I don’t recognize this particular game

of sporting just deserts

I am amazed at each line crafted as it resembles real life, Morgan and perhaps an inside joke is alluded to that may escape me. It reads like Sylvia Plath and it shines like oxblood. The beauty lies within your composition.

Oh Morgan, I am most often barefoot and my toes painted pink,
or blue, or orange, and sometimes lavender with sparkles
adorned with rose appliques are my favorites and yes I love
sandals too! We must be ourselves and not what others wish us
to be! And my lipstick is Celeb and manufactured in the U.K.
Dare to be different and our self I say :)

From a mother earthen lady

Wonderful I loved this one!

I get the emotion in this one, although some of the meanings I'm not sure of, I do feel the angst!

Being thirteen years junior to my youngest of three brothers, I somewhat relate to some of your images here that remind me of the prolonged and agonised teasing whilst at the same time wielding the expection that I would somehow grow up to be a paragon of feminine charm and beauty: go figure! Give ME sandals with painted toes and lipsticks with disturbing names ANY day, Morgan! And just deserts have always also been in short supply amongst my siblings, too. Like this brown write; it goes with my autumn of days. xx

Brown looked good on Ronan and Teyla in Stargate Atlantis. I am the older brother of three siblings. Middle brother and a younger sister. She never listened to the voice of wisdom. Stayed to herself. She got married despite everyone telling her NO. It lasted seven months. He beat her up and abused her. She had one son who became an alcoholic. She divorced, he was killed in a car crash, then she embraced Wiccan witchcraft. A sad story. Your stew of imagery and snippeted memories, MM, certainly stir the pond of memories in me. peace ... r
