"Thank You that He (Jesus Christ) walked here on earth radiating the brightness of Your glory and flawlessly expressing Your nature...and so, through Him, people saw You in action...people with deep needs, just like me..." Ruth Myers, 31 Days of Praise--Day Two

When I have left this earthly scene,
in heaven awakened, as in a dream,
What will remain to mark my place
or tell the world "This was my space!"
Will an echo of my laughter ring,
a memory tugging at heart strings?
Will someone cringe from cruel ire,
a pointed barb from murk and mire,
Yet someone else remember still
I kindly helped when she was ill?

My soul will long to know for sure
the impact that I left was pure;
To know that deeds, though finished now,
will follow on and still somehow
Refresh someone with thoughts of worth
and goad him to live well on earth.
When words I've scattered in the air
are read again sometime, somewhere,
Though I remain Author Unknown,
I pray my words lead someone Home.

Simply beautiful,Connie. Thank you for sharing. It reminds me of the poem titled "I shall not have lived this life in vain while here!" Author, Anonymous. Isn't it interesting how these good gems are penned by "Anonymous"?

Abundant Blessings.

Glory to the Lamb! What a beautiful heart you have, Connie-Girl!
And there is no doubt, should the LORD ever choose to take you to Himself.. ripples and reflectlions of your Christ-likeness would go on forever, continuing to minister to others.

Love you, Bless you, Rhonnie

PS> Much to my joy, when I tried the Fruit of The Earth link, it went straight to VOB! Thank You, Jesus!!!

Thank you, my friends, for your very kind reviews! Pat, the words of the song I shared with you are precious words for me. My younger brother whose name was Pat (Patrick), had terminal cancer. He died at the age of 29. He was my kids' favorite uncle! He loved the song Turn Your eyes Upon Jesus; it helped him and his young wife to keep trusting Jesus during that hard year.
It was also sung at his funeral and then the words "Looking Unto Jesus" (from a verse in the Bible)was engraved on his tombstone.
I hope no one feels that this is morbid...to me the memories are precious, and the song is so inspiring.
Thank you especially, Pat, for what you have shared heart to heart. May God bless you greatly as you follow Him.

oh connie...your kind encouraging words will forever be in my thoughts and memory of you. they touched me in a way that pointed me back to Jesus...you touched touch me in a way and on the day i was lost in sadness and fear, with this beautiful reminder...

'turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace'

i will forever remember your gift of gentle words and how they turned me around to look full in His wonderul face. and i'm positive i'm not the only one that you've given this gift to that will keep you in their minds and hearts...forever.

your soul can rest assured that the impact you had on me was pure...pat
