I Love The Night

There is something so attractive about that which cannot be seen.

I love the night for in it lies
The twink'ling stars in blackened skies
The moon when it doth chose to show
Giving a glow to those below

Who wander wanting just to see
Enough of what is and might be
Ahead of them as their feet walk
On paths unchosen but yet stalk

Unknowing what might greet when
They make their way into night's den
Of mystery to which I'm drawn
Until the disappointing dawn

Sheds light only to send me home
Where I sit silent and alone
Until the sun sets and the sky
Again is dark and so am I

I often feel a kinship with the night as well, Jane; it is a special time in so many ways - inspiring and evocative. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

A vampire's lament. There's nothing I like better than a walk in the dark with only the light of the stars to guide me. Does that make me a vampire? Or just a guy who likes the night?

Hmmm an interesting view from your
perspective of the night and what
draws you there... in particular

"Sheds light only to send me home
Where I sit silent and alone
Until the sun sets and the sky
Again is dark and so am I
