For Who I Am...
Cold metal in my hands
Pressing it against my lips
Sealed it with tears in my eyes
With a goodbye kiss.
Inside, my life’s reason
For who I am.
My mother and father
My best friends.
Cold wintry day
Chilled me to the bone.
Yet, deep in my heart
I knew I’d never be alone.

Cold wintry day
Chilled me to the bone.
Yet, deep in my heart
I knew I’d never be alone.
A graciously worded tribute!
You have a heart filled with much love and compassion.
I salute you Deborah!
Peace, love and blessings,

What a loving, sad and lovely tribute to your parents. I felt your pain as I read your heart cry, crying with you over burying a son years ago. Beautiful, sincere words, Deborah.

Deborah: I buried my father and mother, 3 brothers and 1 sister. It doesn't get easier with each event. It helps to read tributes like yours. Your words bespeak a loving, caring person. You will never be alone as long as there are others like you to lift us up. Thanks for posting your loving remembrance.
