Life an illusion, take care and you'll see,
In the blink of an eye, and a one, two, three.
Flowers and raindrops, sunshine and dew,
Summer's confusion, most colourful hue.
Red of a sunset and ebony skies,
Stardust and moonlight on velvet it lies.
Orange and yellow, a variety of shades,
Autumn arriving to roam wooded glades.
Snowflakes and shivers blow in a storm,
Silence sends sleepy-heads to hide in the warm.
Boughs that are laden droop to the ground,
And winter comes creeping with nary a sound.
Buttercups and daffodils, the colour of fun,
Earth does abound when bathed in the sun.
Laughter and good cheer rings in the air,
When spring is awoken from slumber with care.
'Tis magic they say, the faeries and elves,
When shopping for potions on seasonal shelves.
The cycles of blue dreams reflects all above,
Life is aplenty with patience and love.
