One Small Tear

One small tear
is all I will shed for you.
Only one small tear.
For with every tear that falls
My memory of you fades away.
Too many words that were left unspoken
and too many that should have been.
Now I'm the one that has been left behind
and I can think of the what to say.
I only hope that you can hear me
when at night I pray.
Left with only memories
of the life that slipped away.
