The Son

Remembered this Easter time

He spoke the words of many tongues
And everybody heard
Mothers, Fathers, Daughters, Sons
Clung to every word

Some said he was an envoy
An angel from above
Listening with awe and joy
To his words of love

Mothers brought their children, sick
Crippled, weak and blind
Was it an illusion or a trick?
Or a heavenly sign

Gently laying hands he prayed
For them to walk and see
Word was quickly relayed
Throughout all Galilee

He only lived for thirty years
They said his miracles were tricks
Then through prejudice and fear
They killed him on a crucifix

Two thousand or more years have past
But his name still lives on
He was the first he was the last
He was God’s only son

Very good write. If we all keep Jesus close (in doing as in praying) this would be a much better world. God Bless Don

A great work. He only lived a short while but his sole purpose was to die so that we might have life. He endures.
