He has left her home again.
Off to a meeting in some foreign country.

She feels abandoned and alone,
so she turns on her computer to try and feel at home.

No names appear to be familiar
so she wanders the web. hoping someone will find her.

Sometimes names pop up on her list
but vanish just as quickly like a flick of a wrist.

She wonders why she feels so at home
on this little laptop that isn't even her own.

She wishes he would be here tonight
She loves him, but knows something's not right.

She turns off the computer and heads back to bed.
Tired, abandoned and emotionally dead.

this was written for a friend of mine on AOL who's husband was always away.
