Rocks and Hard Places

It's from the clefts of the rock that God's Glory will shine

Not from a bed of roses or upon mountains high

In order to bring forth more fruit more faith and trust

Our Father will sometimes place us in midsts of storms and clefts of rocks

Then He speaks and directs our feet to dance and our souls to sing

He requests poetry to be written from a place of pain

And as we obey, He takes us to a new level where peace transcends pain

A place where joy over-rides anxiousness
No lack or doubt abides there

From this cleft of this rock, I see Jesus

And I see me, still in the palm of His hand.
