I have things on my mind; this is why I am writing this poem.

If I have omitted anyone, I am indeed sorry; but this prayer is directed to each and EVERY ONE of you here at AD! I had no intention of omitting people; each one of you here is in my prayers! :)

Dear God:

I have some prayers to lift up Your way,
And it is because of friends I think of today.

Friends like Peggy, Lisa, Dreamweaver, Sage, Chad, and Michelle~
Friends whose daily health struggles give them moments of hell.

I pray that you ease their suffering or their pain,
And I ask that You touch them and bless them again.

I pray that you give them all hope and joy,
And I pray that their peace of mind is what you employ.

I also ask for special prayer for Abdi-Noor and his wife and little girl,
For they are living in a violent and uncertain world.

Every day they live with fear and dread,
And I can't understand the fear that fills their heads.

I pray for Your protecting Hand on them all,
And I pray that when they need You, You will answer their call.

I ask for prayer for Floria; she has lost loved ones in her life;
And I pray that You remove all the sadness, hoplessness, and strife.

I ask that You give her peace that passes all understanding in her world,
And I pray that comfort and peace is soon unfurled.

I ask that you give her strength in her time of need,
And I pray that Your love goes to her in breakneck speed.

Another one I pray for is Karla, my twin;
I can't stand to see the pain or fear she holds within.

Fear of money woes, job worries, and storm stress;
Her problems are many, and I hate to see her in such pain or duress.

She needs a break and a MAJOR touch from You,
And asking for some relief is all I ask for, as only You can do!

I pray for those AD members who can't afford to join the AD site;
I pray that someone gives them hope, offer them a ray of love and light.

I pray that others reach out their hands to help out,
And if they do, oh, how do I want to yell and shout!

For it shows that Your love and caring does abound,
And when one helps another, the ripple effect is sure to go around!

Thank you, Dear God, for listening to my prayer;
It is always reassuring to know that You truly DO care! :)

In Your Most Holy, Precious Name,
I pray..Amen and Amen!

Karen - your prayer rose like incense to the heavens - brought to mind the lyrics of one of my favorite anthems - I sang it at least once each year, for 16 years, with our choir - from one of the Psalms - "Hear my prayer, Oh, Lord, and let my crying, my crying --- come unto thee . . " ALSO - The Great Beatitudes - "Blessed are they who . . . for they shall . . ." Then, words from Latin I popped into my head -
"Amo, Amas, Amat" Tom.

This is a lovely poem. You are a sweet lady, but I think you should know that an atheist is the one that helped you out. It does not take a belief in God, but a belief in the goodness of people to make the world work. And work right. You have a sweet caring soul Karen....don't ever let go of that.
