Children always remember their Grandma's. I'm no different.
This poem is to all Grandmas.
The last two lines of this poem were changed as they are the ones
that were published by Sparrowgrass!

I Remember Grandma!
by
Rita P. J. Hestand
I remember as a child
how my grandma used to smile,
as she rocked me fast asleep
and I'd listen to the old chair creak.
And oh how she loved to bake,
my favorite pies and cakes.
Full of stories and ole songs,
Grandma taught me rights from wrongs.
"So remember." she would say,
"Please and Thank You, every day."
Now she walks with God I know.
As she smiles at me below!

Howdy Neighbor!
Made me think of MY Grandma! If you get a chance, read my "Grandma's Kitchen" in my poetry section. I am betting you have similar remembrances of your Grandmother. |

The title made me look!
I enjoyed the reading.
If you find a spare moment, read my "Visiting Grandma" also on the AD site.
Thanks for the pleasure.
