The Unheard Child

If there's one thing that's important in this world, it's the welfare of our children...

Your face is everywhere- Am I the only one that sees you? Your tear-filled eyes tear at my soul.
I've seen that look before...in my own reflection.
Your cries fall upon deaf ears- Am I the only one that hears you?

I can't take you in my arms- I can only take you into my heart, But I have room for many of you.
You didn't ask to be brought into a world that seems blind to your needs. What a price you pay- You are so brave.
If I could take your pain surely I could bear it much easier than you, for I have felt this pain and I understand.

I pray God will keep you safe in His care. For you are... the abused child.

Abuse of a child is the worse thing in this world a child must sometimes go through. May your message stop an abuser in his or her tracks. Great write.
