I Told.....

The horrors of child abuse.

                     I TOLD……

I was 2 ½ years old, innocent and pure.

And going through things no child should endure.

I wanted my Mommy but the court said “No.”

Daddy’s and Nanny’s is where they said I must go.

I love my Daddy but something’s not right.

He did things to hurt me almost every night.

I couldn’t talk too well then and kept things inside.

But soon I could tell what I once had to hide….

Now, today things are better- God will heal my small soul.

I’ve learned some new words and finally…. I told, I told.

This poem hurt to read as it is such a horrible thing to have happened to anyone, especially a tiny child,I feel so terrible for that poor little soul.I hate the man who did that to her and would like to make mince meat out of him and feed him to a crocodile.
I love the last line and the frills of beautiful hope laced through it...all in all a must read and excellent poem.
Congratulations on your courage.
