Simplistic words float off of the tip of my tongue
Piercing your mind like the bullet from a gun
You understand what I’m saying and you know what I mean
So clear your mind cause your thoughts are unclean
Envision a world where children play freely in the park
Without imaging the worst if they are not home before dark
No man-made drugs driving people to sell their things
Far from seeing the problem, far from making the change
Instead of babies being thrown in dumpsters or trash bins
They become blessings to couples who’ve been trying again and again
Where’s the hope, the drive and the ambition
Unfortunately, this is the would we’ve come to live in
What does is take to make things happen
To accept diversity and people from within
Be willing to stand up and put up a fight
Especially when you know what you’re saying is right
You never know, your one voice could help everyone see the light

You have a lot of great things to say and a lovely way of saying them. Your one voice is heard.

I love the last line Keisha, very well penned the entire poem, but the last line, says it all in a nutshell, thanks for sharing this, One Voice of peace and love, from me to you. One love, God Bless!
