I watched the waves
roll up on the shore,
in the same pattern,
the same rhythmic beat,
minute after minute,
hour after hour.
It brought me back from
the hidden beaches of Thailand,
to your house,
and into your room,
to lie my head on your chest.
I remembered each and every night,
I'd fall asleep there,
and could honestly feel our hearts
thumping,
together.
The same rhytmic beat,
minute after minute,
hour after hour,
For what I hoped would be
forever.
Take care my dear,
in whatsoever your mind wants
and desires.
But remember, as you're out
searching,
you will always have
a heart
that beats with yours,
inside me...

| I see that this was written some years ago...but it is still romantically beautiful...it left me with a sense of longing. |

| I think that a romantic poem must have the sound of this one. |

A well-expressed work of longing for the days that once were, Rodd. Much enjoyed and I felt your pain.
Take care,
Jill :) |
