Tommy: I'm just about speechless and in awe; as to your words there should really be a law. That your writing being such a gift; should be read by many to get that positive lift. I will have to come back to read your writings again; sometime soon for in your words is a blessing all the way to the end. (smile) Sis "D"

Love in small doses (Poetry) - 6/14/2014 7:30:42 AM
Oh yes indeed, Tommy, love in small doses is a very unsatisfying way to experience love. To never know the waves of lustful abandonment which happens when love is forever held back, can be excruciatingly cruel.

Touching...love is so powerful. When it there and when it's gone, love has a lasting touch. Yes, when healing takes place - love will come again and there the heart will live again, because love will warm the heart. -Beautiful, Tommmy.

Come Get Your Whooping (Poetry) - 2/5/2010 6:02:17 AM
This was a moving poem for me because it reminded me of my late grandmother. I remembered the times I had to go get the switch then had to go wet it. The way our grandparents put the whoopings down it keep our family together. With the church and whoopings in our life, we turned out fine. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.

When a heart dies (Poetry) - 3/30/2009 5:49:12 PM
Yes the heart suffers so much pain, but as you said, "to Heaven you look to end what belies..." for always God's grace and comfort will catch you as you fall. I'd call this poem TRANSPARENT as it shows the heart and its naked pain in verse. Bravo! Cynthia

Without saying a word (Poetry) - 3/30/2009 5:43:52 PM
Yes it is. There are no words needed, and when one "strays" away, there are no words needed either, the other one always feels it. Great write! I love the honesty here. Cynthia

TRUST is the "usually" the reason WHY! Tim, Timmy - This poem is very relateable! I found such love, warmth and still a faith in yearning as it was written! An easy wonderful flow! When a Heart Dies, is sad but reality as we "try hard" to go on, making new memories! that uplift our heart, with every risk we take, in his name we can. Trust is needed as the rest will proceed! Such truth is spoken/written here! WRITE ON! and I send you my energies in forgiveness, or for anyone reading this ~ Warmest Blessings of Love, Peace and Bright Light, Warrior Purple Lady SHEExooo Welcome! To this fine beautiful sharing corners of the den Tim! I enjoyed this poem and your writing heartfelt style!

Thommy this is a magnificent write and you are telling just like it is. Most people abuse love wheather they understand it or not. They are just leaches and someday they will have to answer for the innocent blood they sucked. Love conquers all and that is why we will always rise!

Faith (Poetry) - 3/20/2009 10:51:42 AM
Hello Tommy, Your poem speaks so vividly of human trials and sufferings, and I would surmise that "as you keep going...you keep the faith" - but there is a difference between "true faith" and "presumption" or assuming that we are attuned to God's will. Romans 12:1 gives the key to that will: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but BE TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing, and perfect will." Cynthia

Faith (Poetry) - 3/20/2009 5:20:13 AM

Come Get Your Whooping (Poetry) - 2/20/2009 6:15:45 PM
This brings tears to my eyes, just thinking of the terrible changes that have been wrought in our society. Your Grandma was strict, alright, but just like my Mom who was the "whooper" in our family, the lessons they taught took hold. Connie

Tommy, This is wonderfully written, humorous, but unfortunately so true. Someone called Child Services on my neighbor, because he swatted his grandson on the behind. Get real people. Mary
