A Shared Secrret (Poetry) - 11/10/2010 4:53:28 PM
Cassie, very nice thoughts written in these lines. The truth lies in what one believes to be true for them, as everyone is different and so are those you confide in.

The price to pay (Poetry) - 10/13/2010 2:53:00 AM
thanks fee- i always wondered about that. Thanks so much- its amazing how the words 'deserved pay' can mean so many things to those involved- to get what they deserve- to be able to make it home, to get the appreciation from their country and community, a feeling of completion and reward. Accomplishment. Pride. All the things one deserves after such an amazing job.
The price to pay (Poetry) - 10/12/2010 6:55:10 AM
I love it, as the son of a Canadian World War II vet and the author of Red Soil the story of his times at war I can relate well to this. Only suggestion would be to add and adjective before pay int the last line...eg: deserved pay...just a thought.
Cruel to be Kind (Poetry) - 10/8/2010 7:36:47 AM
One should flee-fly-flap away to freedome. Why lock one's own chain?
Great work Cassie.

If not for you, for me (Poetry) - 10/8/2010 3:40:49 AM
True Felix- each case is different- everyone reacts differently. One of my closest friends husbands took his own life and the raw emotion she expressed- the feeling of betrayal she felt at being left behind- was hard to see and hear but so felt- you hate losing the one you loved so much but sometimes you blame them too. This poem reflects only one way a person could feel- we are all different, our situations are all different, and our grief is equally unique.
Lifes Vandetta (Poetry) - 10/3/2010 7:05:39 AM

Lifes Vandetta (Poetry) - 9/30/2010 9:12:13 AM
I like to believe that mercy and compassion are acutely within each human being...Circumstances alter this fact. Good karma and love keep us on the right tract.

If not for you, for me (Poetry) - 9/30/2010 7:23:09 AM
Powerful, open and honest message here bug sadly the majority of people who are sucidal are also suffering from some form of deep depression which is a mental illness that affects so many. It is not how much or how little they love us but a state of mind that they need professional and medical help with....reaching out though with love and understanding goes a long way...
Lifes Vandetta (Poetry) - 9/30/2010 6:52:58 AM
Mercy and compassion create lives of love. Both receiving and providing. Good write!

A step down memory lane (Poetry) - 7/8/2010 2:54:40 PM
Yes a lot to think about in this one Cassie, it is true that the world has changed so much even in my lifetime and yea mostly it is not for the better.
Meet of a thousand moons (Poetry) - 7/7/2010 5:39:32 AM
Wow...so far this is one of yours that is my favorite...when we miss someone the moon does seem to capture our attention as either a wishing we were with them place or as a reminder of days gone by and yet to come...
Stereotypical Perception (Poetry) - 7/7/2010 5:37:49 AM
Yes it is funny and mostly true but the very last paragraph makes it all worthwhile.
Gothica (Poetry) - 7/7/2010 1:59:22 AM
I know fee. But isnt it amazing how many people now adays do. I know that i can sometimes find myself judging people without even realising and it is not fair- but i try to give everyone a fair chance and keep an open mind. Its hard now through life because there are so many who don't. As a diabetic in a small country town while i was growing up i had a lot of people judge me and it did lead to bullying. It is one of those things that ultimately make you learn.
Respect (Poetry) - 7/6/2010 9:49:54 AM
Respect (Poetry) - 7/6/2010 6:59:19 AM
Very well expressed, Cassie
Gothica (Poetry) - 7/6/2010 5:49:32 AM
I have seen generations come and go and each tried to make their own unigue and personal style. I seen the black leather jackets and what we called coffin boots (black leather with red quilted lining)come and go, I seen the beatniks with tams and scarfs...come and go, I grew my hair long and wore beads and suede fringes...come and go so and of course grossest of all...disco, come and go, so no I do not judge anyone by how they look or what they wear.
Saviour By Sorrow (Poetry) - 7/6/2010 5:46:00 AM
Exceelant job...like the way you present this as a mother figure praying over her sleeping child...so much worry and things to fear in this world as a parent.
Respect (Poetry) - 7/6/2010 5:44:00 AM

Looking inside youself, so important. The sorrow and anger that you feel is a fleeting thing hopefully. Your words scream on the page of the rage you feel. Good luck, my friend.

Whence It Comes To The Your End Death All Is Said And Done--
Only Thing That Counts Is Your "REPUTATION"...
What is my worth? (Poetry) - 4/7/2009 12:40:24 AM
Good Points. Manuy of my friends have often been tempted by the blade to touch their skin and I have tried in vain to help them all through it. Only once have I failed and it was with one of my closest friends. To help one in need through a time like this may seem long roaded and sometimes impossible but it is worth every breath, every second, every drain of ones sacrifice to anothers fight for life.
What is my worth? (Poetry) - 4/6/2009 3:15:27 PM
You are living, breathing, ALIVE!! That in and of itself gives worth for one to enjoy life...

LOL! Very well done! I enjoyed.
What is my worth? (Poetry) - 4/6/2009 12:30:44 PM
Ah, a question some often ask themselves or request of others. Self worth is a value one demands of themselves, strives to accomplish, a feeling that leaves one filled with contentment, a comparison against those above and below ones own status desiring to be one and not the other, and most of all the the value one places on their abilities and to instill a never say die attitude. Other than that the human bodies worth about $1.98. Clouds of haze and confusement at times engulf us all, often blocking reason, sight and feeling towards the good we have done by focusing only on our failures. Stand into the winds of surity and let the breeze blow away all doubt.
Souls In The Wind (Poetry) - 3/22/2009 8:58:30 AM
I always search for a river that runs thru everything. In this case that core of expression came in the third line from the end.(but a soul can never be a mist on the wind) Everything else revolved around that line and spoke to me the loudest. The inspiration for me was something along the lines of give and take being a part of the same(artistic) blood transfusion. Sometimes hard to live with. Difficult to live without. I look forward to searching for more. Thanks
I saw you, Jake (Poetry) - 3/20/2009 5:20:38 PM
Childhood meetings of fatally sick other children or even deaths of other children have such a life long affect. I remember when I was only eleven having to go to my first funeral of a young lad that was in sea cadets with me and had been hit by a car... the total fright of the funeral home, the subduec voices, candles and of course the lifeless body in the casket...I never got over.
Loves Lessons (Poetry) - 3/20/2009 7:47:55 AM
For one so young you definately capture the beauty and the beast that is love. It cannot be tamed or explained easily but ahhhhh...where would life be without it.

Against All Odds (Poetry) - 3/12/2009 12:57:44 AM
You write of broken hearts with such strong feelings and emotions that the reader bites his tongue to keep from reaching out and trying to offer comfort and solace. Your lines are honest and open and you bare your pain but also your hope peeks through at the very end. Sad but lovely too.
Souls In The Wind (Poetry) - 3/11/2009 3:01:41 PM

A writing with much feeling from your heart! The last 3 lines say so much. Death and loss is universal, and our hearts break the same from it.
