I loved your book and had to call you as soon as I read it. Great writing!! I was standing in the hallway as little Hilary was born and held her soon in my arms to dedicate her back to God. Lovely memories. I can't wait to come home in June for my retirement, and to come and visit with you and share.

A Child of The King (Book) - 2/9/2003 5:24:03 PM
The realities of 'equipping oneself' for intimate sruggle and perseverance through the timelesss unknown are beautifully portrayed in Joanne Blundell Marsh's A CHILD OF THE KING. Uplifting and encouraging, her tale, though sad at times, is better than many arenas of public worhsip in its directness of will and personal resolve. Joanne gives us her will of endurance, a mighty asset in an oft too cruel reality. This work is a true mark of the radiance brought about by the refiner's fire. --- Stephanie S. Sawyer, author FACING ME

You've endured more then most your age. Your strength is evident in your book. Beauty is your words, as beauty is a flower. Use your gifts from God to take you much higher. I loved it! Hope to read more from you soon.

Fatigue's Fury (Short Story) - 4/26/2003 8:20:57 AM
good write, joanne! it is so hard to live with a chronic illness or disease, especially one like multiple sclerosis, which can be so unpredictable. i don't have ms, but i DO have a chronic disease, myself (arthritis), and there are some days where the pain is so bad it is all i can do to keep from crying. it is also hard to walk or move without pain, especially on inclimate days. i walk with crutches, which helps, but at times i wish i didn't have to use 'em; but knowing i do better with them, so i just put up with the injustice of it all--the stares, comments (in fact, a kid last night at my job asked me what was wrong with me, and i honestly told her what i had), or stupid people who don't know how to act around me. very good write about what a person with ms might encounter in their daily lives; thanks for educating me! love, your friend, karen lynn in texas. awesome write! so glad you are going on despite your struggle with ms; i admire your faith and your courage! god bless you always, and remember, he is always there, even when we both feel he is not! i am disabled, myself, and believe you me, sweets, i have my bad days; but i know god will never leave me. i have degenerative arthritis and walk on forearm crutches; and at times the pain is awful; but then i count my blessings, and i go on. and you must too. i will keep you in my prayers. love, a new friend, karen lynn. For You (Short Story) - 11/8/2002 1:02:01 PM
Beautiful! Remember to each is given a different gift. When we share our gifts with others helps in so many ways. Your story reminded me of the pearl. The oyster is contiually stuck in the sand and uses the sand to make a beautiful pearl. Our problems can become our strengths and we too can become beautiful pearls if we have the right attitude and do the best we can. Loved your words of encouragement. A great friend to have.
