Writing Is My Therapy (Article) - 12/30/2006 5:05:33 AM
Good article, and so true. I also started writing just to survive in a crisis in my life, and when I came out the other side, had recognized that writing was something I could do, and have continued from there.
I also agree that seemingly difficult situations that come into our lives turn out to be blessings...I can identify with your feelings about your son, and know that there is so much to be learned when we are given special children like him.
Writing Is My Therapy (Article) - 9/10/2006 10:09:11 PM
So true writing is healing I have found it is for me. I have written many times when I am in anger, fear, or even just any time when I am happy too. When I got sober I wrote a good by letter to the alcohol and when I left my ex I wrote a letter to help let go. When I let go of my son I wrote and when I was dignosed with Lupus I have done a lot of writing and still am. thanks for sharing.

What is Pervasive Developmental Disorder? (Article) - 9/23/2004 9:50:13 AM
Great information on the subject! I also have a son who is dx'd with PDD-NOS, and it's been a long road. He's 12, almost 13 now, and is doing well so far in middle school with reg. classes with RSP support. I wish everyone could read your article. No one knows what a mom knows regarding autism and her child!

Very inspirational article. I also use writing to deal with my depression. A lot of my poetry comes from my emotions.

thanks for sharing this informative write. i have a friend who has a child who has asperger's syndrome, and she says daily life with his a struggle. she also has an older daughter, and the two fight constantly, she says. i also knew a boy with autism at the church i attended in ohio, and he had to sit outside the sanctuary, in the lobby, during the services because being around people made him act up. i wrote a story about a little girl with autism, but hers is severe. check it out! love, your friend in texas, karen lynn. Prayerful verses, Lisa. I think you have a typo in the second stanza (first verse); you probably mean "angels." Nice poem. Love and peace. Regis

This is a very good poem on the struggles in Life. Each of us have our own struggles to bear. Some have more struggles than others. It's nice to have someone to help them with and show them how to endure their struggle.
Everyone has struggles in their Life because that is a part of this Life. It is nice to hear poems that tell of the good things that come out of the struggles.
