hello Michelle...sorry took so long to reply, but thanks for your comments regarding my hair poem.I was just learning how to do this computer stuff, just ran into this page by accident, read some of your fav-writers, I like Dostoyevsky too! I read his work all the time while on my 2-5year recoup from brain surgery when I was 17yr old. Reading is theraputic for me, writing songs & poems calms me too.take care and may God bless and be with you always...sincerely,Georgia M McDowell...health is wealth!

Polyester Polly (Poetry) - 9/10/2009 9:17:58 PM
:) I can relate to this because I always say I have "wild woman" hair- it's wiry and hard to tame, but I like it that way, lol! I also liked the humor and seriousness of this-because isn't it a shame we put ourselves and our hair through so much for some silly fashion?? I also liked the repetition of certain lines as it gave a feel of past times as well as the style being reminiscent of one of my favorite poets work, Paul Laurence Dunbar. Enjoyed.

Georgia, Georgia, Georgia -
Undone by the power in these 9/11 Winds - my Gift (as I call my poetry) was given me on that day - have written many about that day, since that day - but none so eloquent, as moving as this - thank you. Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

Government of God ( i.e. America My Beautiful ) (Poetry) - 5/21/2009 6:41:44 PM
A fine tribute to the once great nation we were. Will we ever get it back, have other grand empires? I can only hope and pray....
Be always safe,
Government of God ( i.e. America My Beautiful ) (Poetry) - 5/21/2009 10:54:48 AM
You wrote much truth in these lines and it is a tribute to the real America I knew. My Dad fought with Americans in World War II and he
had many American friends who had old-fashioned values, values that made your nation great.
