Somebody's Child (Poetry) - 5/11/2009 4:59:33 PM
A child is always a treasure capable of loving and caring in return, but first it must learn to receive that from somebody. Great poem Milton.

This is excellent Milton. A fine write indeed. As an adoptive parent myself, I can relate to this. My 9 year old adopted son, Jonathan, is as much my child as all of my others. Thanks for posting this and God bless.
Dont burn the Bridge (Poetry) - 5/11/2009 6:51:12 AM
She returned . . . .
To find the bridge burnt. . .
So now it's up to you. . .
To throw her a rope. . . .
If there's any chance of hope.
This poem swayed along. . then POW . .hits hard at the end.

Dont burn the Bridge (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 8:59:00 AM
This writing is very thought provoking! Once we burn a bridge, we cannot go back...and that is the sadness... Unlike when we close a door and a new one opens.... Your mind is so alert to the happenings in our lives...and I really appreciate your talent. hugs, lindalaw
I care (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 8:57:00 AM
Milton... when one has nothing but "a prayer"....that to me is the greatest gift. If everyone stopped for a minute and said a prayer for someone else, can you imagine the wonders that could be passed along? It makes me smile to think that someone would say a prayer for me...but since I can't count on that...I pray for me...and for many others as well... Very thoughtful write.. hugs, lindalaw
Loneliness (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 8:54:22 AM
The way you make Loneliness a person, brings the reality of "it" more direct. I hadn't thought of loneliness in that way before, and now it gives me a different perspective. I've always believed that we can be in the middle of a room with many people around, and still be so lonely inside. Perhaps that is why we should heed your words...and care about others, reach out.... another good write. hugs, lindalaw
If there was no Tommorrow (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 8:45:45 AM
Like Cynthia writes you, I agree...it is like a "Bucket List".. and I suppose we all have one of those..:-)) The key to life I believe, is simple...live each day as if it is our last...be kind, forgiving, and smile.. Altho I cry alot too, I do it in the peaceful time of the nite...when I am alone...it helps me to wash away the pain, so that the next day I can smile again... I like the subjects that you choose to write about... hugs, lindalaw
A Poet (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 8:42:21 AM
Milton, this writing speaks to me, because I never think of myself as a Poet...but as a storyteller... I never plan what I write when writing a "poem"....it just sort of spills forth...and I wonder how the real poets can create such beautiful words that seem to make such a difference in our lives... You have a nice talent, and I hope to see more of your postings in the future. hugs, lindalaw
time flies (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 8:39:49 AM
Time does fly, and I especially like when you cite that many squander their time...when it is in reality so short. your words are well written, and each line has such meaning.. hugs, lindalaw
Dont burn the Bridge (Poetry) - 5/10/2009 7:47:28 AM
Burnt bridges mean forgotten relationships that can no longer be returned to. This poem brought various thoughts to mind, and the lines give much room for reflection.

A Poet (Poetry) - 5/9/2009 7:55:45 PM
Milton, this is a fine poem and quite descriptive of the labors and fruits of a poet -- diligence, the ingredient of utmost importance in this art we, you and I, ply -- peace and love -- Jon Michael
If there was no Tommorrow (Poetry) - 5/9/2009 6:50:36 PM
This looks like your "bucket list" but it also tells us a lot of truth about our own lives, and the need to make amends, where needed. "Tomorrow" is something we never own really, as we may go tonight.
Cynthia
The beauty of a woman (Poetry) - 5/9/2009 6:46:25 PM

Loneliness (Poetry) - 5/7/2009 8:06:29 PM
You made Loneliness alive in these lines and I like the personification of him, makes us more aware of his schemes and ways...with a resolute
last line on how to give him a knock-out. Great write!
Cynthia
I care (Poetry) - 5/7/2009 4:44:13 AM
Wonderful message here and the frankness with which you express it.
If I had wealth to leave I would not give it to a dog, but set up a place for refuge, no matter how humble - for these "uncared for" of society.
Cynthia
