Niccoló Paganini 1782 – 1840 (Article) - 5/26/2009 9:15:33 AM
Interesting comments. It bears noting, however, that Yehudi Menuhin played the Beethoven’s violin concerto opus 61, in D major, at the age of eleven (I believe in Carnegi Hall). He remained a most charming man, and played, superbly, into his relatively old age. Perhaps Hatha yoga helped. As for Niccolo's appearance, you should see his portrayal in the film The Magic Bow, by Stewart Granger, I believe. Nothing scruffy about that performance. (I took great pains to analyze the exigencies of gifted children in my novel The Avatar Syndrome.)
