A Journey Through Fire (Book) - 8/20/2009 5:11:30 PM
I found Scott’s first novel to be compelling – in story and style. From the beginning it was easy to get involved with Shawn and Amanda. Then when Angel is thrust into Shawn’s life, the reader knows more will happen, even though Shawn is reluctant to become a hero. What does happen went beyond this reader’s imagination; I got so engrossed I turned the pages eagerly to keep up with the twists and turns of a plot that produced a unique and exciting tale. The people Shawn meets become an integral and essential part of his life for a few days. People he would probably not meet under ordinary circumstances. But these are far from ordinary circumstances. Shawn is drawn into a world of intrigue and danger and, with help from an unexpected source, he dares to do what he must do in order to keep his family and friends secure.
