The Call To Pray (Article) - 10/10/2009 7:53:45 PM
I just happened to scan A/D's article list and your title caught my attention. Just a few weeks ago, a member of Truth Seekers and Speakers received word from the Lord . . . and it was to pray unceasing for the "lukewarm and cold," the only ones we might "snatch from the fire" in these end of days. Christ's request went out in one of our Extra Oil's, all of which also are posted here at Authors' Den. Time is so incredibly short and our prayers so desperately needed. Thank you for this wonderful outreach for everyone to pray.
Much love in Christ,
BonnieQ

Honor Your Head (Article) - 8/8/2009 5:10:03 AM
AWESOME ARTICLE! Absolutely awesome, ESPECIALLY coming from a WOMAN after God's own heart!
In this, yet another very short, sweet and powerful message from you, you have inspired hope! You have entirely enveloped God's first and most essential key to "A Joyful Marriage Fortress", which is the entire subject of my book.
This is a so, so, so much needed message for marriage in our times!
You are truly blessed with inspiration from God in your writings, sister!
Break The Silence (Article) - 8/8/2009 4:58:06 AM
Here's another very short, sweet and powerful message! Between this one and your "Salt", I have much to think about. The fact that I've been led to read these two articles this morning makes me realize our Lord is convicting me. I'll be carrying both of these messages with me for awhile.
Goodness is irresistibly attractive to everyone, even the lost. And as a living witness to Jesus, I want the unsaved to want what I have. Too often, I remain silent. And I agree, silence gives consent. Worse, sometimes silence even encourages.
I'm opinionated AND outspoken, which I've been fighting to change. Once I do speak out, I tend to be blunt. The TRUTH in LOVE is a tricky combo for me. Can we lead others to the Lord if we offend them? I think not.
But the Truth in LOVE is the sharpest sword.
Salt (Article) - 8/8/2009 4:35:54 AM
This is short, sweet and powerful. It definitely spoke to me. We are IN the world, but are not to be OF the world. We are sojourners in this, the enemy's turf. We are to show the lost that there's another way, the only way.
It brings to mind what Jesus said when they accused Him of hanging out with sinners and tax collectors. I'm sure He didn't do it to indulge in worldly behavior; He did it to be a witness, a light, salt, to those who needed it.
To be a living witness to the lost, we must accompany them somewhat. I can't help but think that while Jesus "partied" with sinners, while I know He did not sin, I bet He enjoyed Himself. And I bet they all really liked Him and at least wished they were more like Him.
Being salt to the lost, to me, means being a living testimony of God's love, mercy, kindness, goodness, and holiness to them. And I'm sad to say that I too often fall miserably short and muddy my feet in the muck they're standing in.
When will I learn that pure goodness is irresistibly attractive to the lost?
I stand convicted by your article. God bless you!~
