It’s a good job that I’ve bought me a copy of this book, which is really a nice piece of work. As soon as I began reading therein, it holds me! Indeed this book, when in hand, it’s very hard to put down. It will be such a blessed day, "When we all get to heaven", Joyce!

The Road...to 'Him' (Short Story) - 6/8/2012 7:39:14 AM
I loved this story Joyce! Our God is so good and seeking him, we will have answers one way or his other. My freedom came when my ex spouse wanted his freedom and independence. I did not know I was shackled and imprisoned by mans ways until freedom brought me back! "Kudos" my new friend!
A Change of Mind (Short Story) - 5/23/2012 2:33:48 PM
This was a beautiful story of an awakening, we may turn our back on Him, but He never does on us. No matter how we wish to worship God/Spirit knocks on our door and beckons us to recognize Him. It was her time and to be enlightened.

TRADING PLACES (Short Story) - 11/1/2011 6:05:23 AM
Joyce your story is one of faith and the understanding and passion of Christ -- there is an old Joe South song, "the games people play" with a line that is applicable to your story -- it goes something like this, "singing glory glory alleluia....while they try to sock it to ya, in the name of the Lord" -- an apt description of the person in your story -- I bid you love joy and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Is The Gift Bigger Than You? (Article) - 10/28/2013 8:15:19 PM
Well done Joyce, good and faithful one. What comes to mind is to reject the sin but also love the sinner. Why? Mainly because we all sin and we all fall short of the glory of God. So who are we to judge anyone? God is the ultimate judge and we should all thank Him for that. Amen!
Peace, Christ Love and Blessings,
John Michael Domino

WHEN GOD SAYS; YOU SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE...YOU LIVE! (Article) - 5/12/2013 2:43:10 PM
I find this approach puzzling - what about all the poor people who died under the collapsed rubble of that building? Were they not equally precious to their loved ones? Did they not have lives to live? Or were they simply not worthy of life? What did god do for them? I find this praise utterly bizarre and delusional! I am not one of the militant atheists, but posts like this leave religious people open to ridicule.

IS IT TRUE? (Article) - 10/8/2012 7:43:04 PM
Joyce, your perceptions, beliefs are well founded and righteous - rationalization is an easy escape from the right path my dear friend - to "fit in" has been the downfall of most of us at one time or another in our lives - it is the easy path, not the right path as we were seeking human acceptance rather than the divine acceptance we should have sought - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

IS IT TRUE? (Article) - 9/30/2012 4:28:31 PM
I am with you Joyce. The narrow path is the best path and I choose it. This is a difficult time in our country. It is hard to "know" the true heart of any of our candidates this election year. So many speaches are made by them to reach the groups of citizens they want to reach in hope they will vote for them. But, what do they do once they are in office? Do they pray and ask God for His guidance and walk His path? We don't really know. The only one I trust is God, and it should be His name check off to vote for.
IS IT TRUE? (Article) - 9/30/2012 2:42:41 PM
You are absolutely right! Stay on the narrow path for this path leads to eternal life. It is very hard to do this for one faces judgement when being so confined to the one path, but no one ever said it was easy. I don't mind the judgement anymore, because I feel secure in my relationship with the Father and the Son. Bless you, my friend.

IS IT TRUE? (Article) - 9/30/2012 2:20:30 PM
Joyce, you are right on the money in this and I am "WITH YOU."
No, it is not true. I too will take the narrow road and hopefully this will remain "ONE NATION UNDER GOD."

WHAT DO YOU DO...? (Article) - 6/19/2011 11:09:47 AM
How wonderful, Joyce! How passionate and humble was your surrender to God. Truly, He wants all, and as the Bible says, He wants to be All and in all. I love the way it was put in "Evangelism Explosion" years ago: "Salvation is transferring our trust from ourselves to Jesus Christ."
As for the children, I was so comforted from knowing that God loves my children even more than I do--He weeps for them with more compassion than I do. I walked a long and heartbreaking path while praying for them, the ones who chose to turn from God. But I kept praying, and trusting God to act, and He kept lifting me up and giving me His Word to revive my spirit. Today I will pray for your children, because I am your sister and I cry with you for them.
His compassions never fail. They are new every morning.
In the bonds of the family of Christ,

I really enjoyed your writing about your Destination. That's the only thing that keeps me going on in this world as well. Oh, Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday...to Me! (Poetry) - 11/20/2013 5:38:51 AM
Hi Joyce... It's been a while, but I had to respond to your beautiful writing! Often we cannot see our destination, yet, we journey on in a fog of confusion and uncertainty... Not really knowing where we'll end up... This has been my experience ...but that's when "faith" comes into play. My journey too has been rough! Many times I didn't think I would arise out of some of the valleys I found myself in. But my God - my life coach, my mentor, my healer, my protector kept me on the path. I listened to Him, I held on to Him, I found comfort in His presence. Even when the journey found me alone, desolate, sick, hungry, facing death... I still held on to Him... Not knowing where I'd end up; and today, in my 60's also, I find myself in a place I never dreamed of. He brought me to a most beautiful place, in every sense of the word... I am at peace, and doing His works to help others. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR LADY, And may God continue to bless you! :-) Janice
Happy Birthday...to Me! (Poetry) - 11/20/2013 4:43:24 AM
I really like the NAILED part of your acrostic, Joyce... speaks of a sacrificial life, taking up and carrying our cross, bearing our own burdens, while also bearing one anothers burdens, remaining focused upon the prize... not an easy thing to do in today's harried, hurried up world... if you can keep your head, while others around you are losing yours... and all that other Desiderata stuff, but mainly remembering that he who has begun a good work in you will see it through until the day of salvation! Now that is a destination worthy of the journey! Thanks for a thought-provoking read again, Joyce.... simple, but profound!
Happy Birthday...to Me! (Poetry) - 11/20/2013 4:42:47 AM
Happy Birthday Joyce. The splendor of life is in rejoicing with what God gave you. At times it may not be that great but that is when your faith in God shines if you place it in His hands.
Happy Birthday...to Me! (Poetry) - 11/20/2013 3:32:39 AM
Happy Birthday...to Me! (Poetry) - 11/19/2013 10:58:44 PM
What is it all about Joyce? I mean really, this birthday thing, why is it so important? Has society sold us a bag of goods?
They say you are as old as you feel. Sure, I am sixty something too but I have just begun to live because Jesus came into my life in my mid thirties. It took all of thirty some years to mess up my life then another thirty something to get straight and forgive my first thirty something years. Now I am finally writing down a message about what I learned. Yes, with the help of God I am turning my mess into a message. Thank you for being who you are Joyce. You may not think so but just by you reading this, you have become part of my journey. Walk with me as we tell out recovery stories about how the GREAT physician has change our lives so we could help to heal others in great pain all over the world. Happy Birthday Joyce!
God bless you with many Birthday blessings, much love and peace.
John Michael Domino

Answering The Knock On Your Door (Poetry) - 11/2/2013 3:37:10 PM
Just a few words of encouragement, just a warm thought or two, just a kind greeting, a fond recollection of all the good things you've done, thought or said... these are a few of the many blessings you so generously bestow through your thoughtful scenario... this brief visit, this comfortable memento of Christ's love and grace is original and extraordinary, quaint and quintessential in its candor and its comforting credibility. May God richly bless you for sharing this Holy Halloween message! May God always find us at home with his ways and his wonders, at home with his blessings and biddings, and at home with his sacrificial love. In giving and in receiving may we always be found in the home that is God alone, always in him, to him, through him be the glory, forever and ever, Amen.
Peace be to you and yours.

Wine...From The Son(a metaphor) (Poetry) - 10/12/2013 4:09:48 AM
Beautifully expressed Joyce. The source of wisdom in my own view is the ability to seperate what matters from what doesn't matter. The metaphors you use illustrate the message well. I had to go look at the passages you took this from. You've done it so well. I believe that few others could do better. I loved it. Bob

Arms (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 1:06:37 PM
When life hands me a load that's too heavy for me, I hand it over to His arms for they are so much stronger than mine.
Arms (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 11:43:25 AM
Joyce, as the words to 'Anchored in Love' so beautifully and reassuringly say, "His dear arms around me are lovingly cast". So as you say, " arms, ancient, strong...and constant hold us close". May love and peace be always with you my dear friend. Jon Michael
Arms (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 9:51:01 AM
Arms (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 7:00:19 AM
My baby's arms are like that… Comforting and warm.
Arms (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 7:00:15 AM
Yes, amen, sister! These are the arms that reach out to hold us when we are lost and alone, tired and despondent, sorrowful and dejected. My dear brother is in exactly this position and needs prayer. Thanks for this reminder of God's comfort and security as I intercede on his behalf. You are always such a stalwart soldier in the army of our Lord. God's grace be with you and sustain you always.
BUT...THERE HE WAS!!! (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 6:21:26 AM
I believe it with all my heart!
Arms (Poetry) - 8/28/2013 6:19:44 AM
Yes, Joyce, those "everlasting arms" that will never fail us.
Beautiful, simple expression of the love of God for His children.
THOU ART GOD!!! (Poetry) - 8/10/2013 8:29:51 PM
Wow Joyce, "Thou Art God" is another exceptional poem of yours.
I must have been away on vacation to have missed this gem.
Exceptionally well done!
Yours in the Eternal Love of Jesus Christ,
John Michael Domino

'WE' (Poetry) - 7/14/2013 9:47:56 AM
From the civil rights song… “We shall overcome.”
Strictly from the law's standpoint, with the person declared innocent and having to prove one's guilt, the question of self-defense with no one actually there, is still up in the air and therefore cause for, “reasonable doubt.”
On the other hand, someone who carries a gun in a neighborhood without the credentials of a peace officer, and I emphasize, “peace,” is immediately suspect, and perhaps, acting criminally. With a long list of challenging people in the neighborhood, that he considered “undesirable,” Zimmerman was regularly a bully violating others' civil rights.
Hopefully, the Department of Justice will be able to gather enough evidence to file charges against Zimmerman for his obvious civil rights violations.
All those that are crying out for poor little Trayvon, should be aware that his size and demeanor may have allowed him to confront his bully, leading to the ultimate, unfortunate, outcome. A good reason why we should ban firearms. While a fist fight is not a proper response to confrontation, shooting someone who is unarmed is a cowardly act of a bully.
'WE' (Poetry) - 7/14/2013 9:22:51 AM
I, too, know the sting of unfair justice from unbalanced scales first hand, Joyce. I can well relate to this, my friend. We must have faith in knowing that God will be the final judge of us all. God bless you and yours.
'WE' (Poetry) - 7/14/2013 8:27:24 AM
God is the final judge.
'WE' (Poetry) - 7/14/2013 8:17:42 AM
Wow! Joyce, it's been a while since I visited Authors Den, but I was lead this afternoon to your words of comfort to a spirit that was in a slight turmoil from the verdict of this case. Awesome and powerful!! Thank you! Janice

A SONG OF LOVE (Poetry) - 7/8/2013 4:19:40 PM
Joyce, your faith and love of Jesus Christ our Lord have led you to write these lyrics of love for all men. It is not easy to describe the abundance of His love as it overwhelms you and I, mere mortals. Thank you for sharing this inspirational song of love, praise and light. May love and peace be always with you my dear friend. Jon Michael
A SONG OF LOVE (Poetry) - 7/8/2013 7:43:47 AM
Although mere words cannot adequately express the depth of gratitude we cannot help but feel at that love of which you speak, your song most certainly does justice to this in an expression of heartfelt appreciation for this unspeakable gift, the full portent of which we cannot yet but crudely comprehend... so much remains unwritten, so much remains unsaid, so much remains unsung, so much remains unread... but by the things we do, much more than by what we say, we give our thanks and gratitude, day by blessed day! Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, but above all else, thanks for caring.
A SONG OF LOVE (Poetry) - 7/8/2013 6:58:07 AM

Wonderful poem Joyce! Yes, the love from the Lord is everlasting. Thinking about everlasting is beyond comprehension. Then again, His Love for us is beyond anything we can ever imagine. Thank you Jesus!

THOU ART GOD!!! (Poetry) - 6/14/2013 10:43:14 AM
I prefer to bask in the wonder of nature, full of dramas, imperfect, and always changing––evolving. Rather than assuming that there is some god that it should be beholden to. It is man fearing god that are tearing our planet apart.
THOU ART GOD!!! (Poetry) - 6/14/2013 8:52:22 AM

Heaven rejoiced the day you said "yes". Beautiful Joyce!!!!
The day we said "yes" he lives eternally in us and our lives have never been the same!
I know now when I read Revelations 4:8 the living creatures were singing "Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come...
Within me is a heart rejoicing, the day I said "Yes"
Thank you dear Joyce!

Such a compelling offering of Amazing Grace. I have a poem about abortion on my den titled, "The Soul of the Aborted," written from the perspective of the baby, that may speak to you, too.
HIS VOICE . . . (Poetry) - 5/30/2013 7:43:23 AM
Reading this poem Joyce brought subliminal feelings and peace. The form in which you wrote it, beautiful! Still hearing the water and echo of nature around it. Once you hear the "voice" you are ever waiting for it to happen again...

Christ is DEEP in your heart and I LOVE you for it!

"I want you to know...if... I knew Jesus back then
if...I knew Him in His soul saving way
So many mistakes...I would not have made
Sincerely, I'm 'so' Sorry
...is all that I can say"
JOYCE - U R A BLESSING!

A b o r t i o n (Poetry) - 5/2/2013 9:56:48 PM
As a poet, I respect the quality of this work; it is written in the ink of tears and sorrow, as only gentle heart can know. It is cohesive in its narration of your story and conveys your message with mellifluous elegance. The message itself derives from a complex human situation, and on this I feel I can add nothing of value.
BUT...THERE HE WAS!!! (Poetry) - 4/2/2013 5:25:28 AM
Amen! Beautifully done, Joyce!
BUT...THERE HE WAS!!! (Poetry) - 4/1/2013 5:46:35 PM
The immediacy and the eternal poignancy of the day when loss became far less pressing than the eternal legacy left for those of us who live by faith and not sight... this is all communicated with a poignant sense of pathos made all the more impressive by the condensed nature of your pithy poem. Perfectly rendered and wonderfully shared! Thanks so much for your own gift, Joyce!
BUT...THERE HE WAS!!! (Poetry) - 4/1/2013 2:53:46 AM
and there He is for the faithful as you

BLACK HISTORY(acrostic) (Poetry) - 3/8/2013 10:13:39 PM
Some change is good. But why have change when it does so much good? Some things should only be changed for the better. Perhaps have an American Cultural History Month where we truly celebrate diversity? That is pretty standard in my church as we celebrate the joining hands and praying together from many races and cultures ever week.
May peace be with you, love be in you and blessings flow over you,
John Michael Domino

May he be given the strength and wisdom by God that peace, prosperity, and health abide in our great country.
THIS DAY AND YOU... (Poetry) - 1/21/2013 11:57:23 AM
What a way to cheer him on his second term. When I look back at the first, I see many changes that so many are fighting against. But the sea of change is so great and the tide is so strong that those who oppose will find that they were wrong. It will take time, but with what he will accomplish in this term, Barack Obama will rank among the greatest, like Abraham Lincoln.
THIS DAY AND YOU... (Poetry) - 1/21/2013 11:43:10 AM
I wish him well when he leaves the house he is in, and hope our Country hasn't gone into bankruptcy. But it's his day and may God give him a long life.

Twenty Little Angels (Poetry) - 12/19/2012 8:10:06 PM
Your words are worthy of further publishing beyond the Den. You wrote this poem with the depth of a mother, a Christian and one who wept at the disaster at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Thank you for these words of comfort that tore at my heart and made me weep when I could not before. Many blessings sent your way, dear Joyce.

Twenty Little Angels (Poetry) - 12/17/2012 5:12:03 PM
Their innocent lives lost for reasons we cannot explain, and your words echo that grief and pain so well. Let us strive to take hold of the power prayer and ask God that this will never be repeated AGAIN in any other place to any other child. We grieve, yes, but with firm resolute determination, we must passionately cry out for God's move in the nation. We need Him.

Joyce, the very first rush of association that came to me were the lyrics to this song, "go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere; go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born" - our Friend was the inspiration for that most beautiful song, for it proudly proclaimed that the gift of love began to grow with His birth - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael
