Gloria: I really enjoyed "Lessons". I learned, I related, I laughed and I cried.
This book not only provided me with spiritual lessons, but also history lessons.
I have always been proud to be a "Lewis". However, this book has enabled me
to be even more proud. I love you and I wish you the best in all you do.
Thank you for giving me my "Lessons". Kenya, proud niece of Gloria Vaughn.
What if? (Article) - 11/23/2003 10:00:31 AM
Hey Sistah Gloria! I've finally learned how to track authors here at A/D; so, I popped in to "track" my beautiful sister and to take the time to read this absolutely fantastic, on-the-mark letter from our Lord. I truly wish everyone would read this: save some by the love of God, save others by fear: literally snatching them from the fire! Glorious, Gloria! ~~Bonnie Q
Longest journey reflected in the choice of names (Article) - 6/15/2003 8:17:09 AM
This article is exceptionally well written and so right on. I've always detested prejudice, despite being white and Southern raised. I never understood how biased people thought. What ever could be in their mind? What were they thinking? I tended to respond, and still do, to them with, "You're going to feel pretty stupid if Jesus turns out to have been black?"
Well, Christ was black...not only black but small and deformed, His face so marred that people would turn from looking at Him: believing Jesus cursed by God. Yeshua's perfect logic is so awesome, especially in a world wholly focused on the external. Interesting that Christian religions avoid those particular Bible verses: subtly painting a picture of tall, handsome, white, and even blue-eyed.

Behold, I Do A New Thing (Article) - 3/17/2003 9:01:07 AM
Fantastic testimony! I once had a similar experience, so I know the heart pounding as you watched scenery taking you deeper and deeper into Martinsville. And, the joy of later realizing your error. For myself, I've learned to consistently repeat, "God does not give a spirit of fear." As well as, "This too shall pass." Yeshua gets us through any- and everything! AMEN. Praise the Lord. As an editor I say, very well-written: although, I do recommend avoiding ~ and parenthesis, distracts.

Gloria, as I read this piece I must say you kept my attention to the very end. I loved how you went on faith, you did like Nehemiah and stayed on the wall. I have learned a valuable lesson this today. God bless you..

What a wonderful testimony! God was indeed working through you to bring a blessing to all those involved. Think of how wonderful that family feels in knowing they showed you a "new Martinsville". Continue your walk with God. I am so glad that I know you.
