I enjoy steaks too and I like to listen to stories, especially funny ones. But what I like the most is trust, without that life is crap.

Week-End (Poetry) - 11/21/2003 9:02:42 PM
There is a man that I loved very much who once said, “Know who you are and are dealing with.” Unfortunately he never really let me know who he was, which made it difficult for me to deal with him.
But WTF, I’m into my Week-end drunk and probably don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. He’s probably writing a love letter to some woman right now or thinking about tomorrow and her. Ha, I used to think I was her, but I never knew.
It was all a big Mensa puzzle of which I did not have the qualifications for calculating a solution to. I loved that man, even if I was never able to come up with all the answers.
Sorry, I have digressed from the meaning of your poem.
Yeah, work is hard, work is good,
Work is what keeps us out of the hood.
We work all week, we work at night,
We work 'cause life's a bloody fight.
We fight for what is right, not wrong
And what we dream is what gives thought flight from the norm.
A poem from me to you.

I hate it when the flower withers and dies.
Sad endings like this always make me cry with deep sighs.

My life (Poetry) - 11/12/2003 2:02:35 PM
Sorry my dear, I had to come back and review this again. It really speaks volumes about how as individuals we have to fight for our lives everyday. So yes, it is wise to know how to take care of yourself. It doesn’t matter if you are fighting your way out of a gun battle, cooking a thick juicy steak on a stick over some broken pallets or making the best screwdrivers on earth. However, can you imagine for a moment what could happen if two people who can and will take care of each other meet? Hmmm, maybe a little freedom from struggle might vanish for a few moments.
Anyway, I hope the knife was not just a butter knife, as you’ll need more than that…for he who dares, wins.
The last two lines of your poem really hit home for me. Thank you.

This is really quite brilliant. It is so *you* in all your darker and lighter shades of grey.
Grey (Poetry) - 11/6/2003 8:08:38 AM
There are six billion agendas in this world, Jim. All shade the telling to slant in their direction, indeed, necessarily so. Some shade it all the way.
Grey (Poetry) - 11/6/2003 7:53:43 AM
and before you know it, a poet...there is much more colour in this than grey....well imho.
Enjoyed this, made for refreshing change.

A very good friend asked me just yesterday, she said, "Ted, tell me why it is that all men lie?" I replied, "for the same reason that all dogs lick their balls, because we can."
