Eyes of the Beholder (Poetry) - 10/8/2013 8:24:00 AM
Beautiful write, Leysa The truth is in this expression of what lives in the heart and the eyes of the beholder.

Eyes of the Beholder (Poetry) - 10/3/2013 7:43:07 AM
So true and so wonderful, along with the attraction of opposites, making sure that the gene pool is strong and survives. Sorry to wax scientific, but the genetics, including that warm feeling you feel when someone says that you are “beautiful” (in their eyes) is all miraculously designed by mother nature to make sure that each generation is more beautiful than the last. That is, if we don't mess it up! ;-) Ron

I love that he cares about me in such sweet, kind ways! I am blessed! Thanks for reading!

Got to get back there. I agree- the real thing. Thanks for the glorious reminder. John

Let It Rain (Poetry) - 1/7/2009 8:01:44 AM
It is raining since last night into today Jan 7 09 and I don't mind it. Have no boyfriend to share it with, but looking out the window and remembering my Tom and how he hated to go outside when it was raining. I used to laugh at him for that. Now I miss him to laugh at.

Monday's Rain (Poetry) - 1/7/2009 8:00:19 AM
I always loved te rain even as a teenager. Used to say it was weather for the ducks when I had to go to work in the rain after I got out of school days. Rain refreshes and you used many words of comfort the rain can bring to us. Even rainy Mondays I can accept. Thanks

There Was Blue (Poetry) - 1/7/2009 7:58:46 AM
The colors of heaven must be wonderful I know my Tom is experienceing them now. Colors meant a lot to him. Most men like blue, mine is yellow, but I like this message, the sea is blue, and the many flowers of blue are treasures to be adopted for us too. Your descriptive write about the many things on earth here are indescribably delicious to read and ponder over.

Tale of a Tail (Poetry) - 11/14/2007 1:15:21 PM

Dwelling (Poetry) - 8/22/2007 6:33:21 PM
So much richness and so much poverty. All I want is to go home to you You express a universal and repeated theme of the human condition, Leysa. Sad but true and your words touch my soul. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes to you, Regis

Dwelling (Poetry) - 8/22/2007 5:08:55 PM
The sad thing is we can very rarely go back no matter how appealing it feels in our hearts. When we leave love behind or it leaves us, we can recapture the moment now and then in our minds but that is all. The best we can hope for is to be thankful for such lovely memories and hope the present ones will someday be just as special in the vaults of our memories. HUGS Fee

Dwelling (Poetry) - 8/22/2007 1:49:53 PM

He Is Lost to Me (Poetry) - 6/28/2007 6:17:38 PM
This poem snaps open like a bamboo fan, like woodpeckers exploit the best of both worlds - foraging in Mother Earth, but living in the trees - Leysa - the woodpecker's beak is poorly suited for hammering marital hardwood - they choose rotted trees to chisel their homes - yet these uncanny birds' narrow beaks, with uncanny precision - nab ants! Thus a tail-flaring ritual mating dance - they may dance for days until mates sort themselves and settle territorial bondaries - when two finally either rediscover each other, and pair off, a tree branch makes a fine mating post - marital eviction can be swift for the unwitted - He Is Lost to Me - from an ecological point of view - and a marital point of view (heart) - passion is a keystone species - much coveted nest activity...optimistic well, Leysa...Blessed Be, Warmly, Sage

Oh Leysa this is potent. I can see me sitting there with a steaming cup of tea looking out the window and also contemplating love that never seems to quite make sense. I can feel the ache of your longing tempered with past hurts that can never truly be forgiven. Though sad this is beautiful for in order to have this sadness you must have also experienced the love to make it so painful now. Fee

The Curl (Poetry) - 5/31/2006 5:43:20 AM
It is funny sometimes how somthing so simple can be so sensual. To another person it may be the eyes, or the dimple on a chin, perhaps a lip that is just a little fuller then most. I think that is the beautiful thing about humanity we all have our own distinct characteristics both inside and out. Great write Leysa you really outdid yourself here in capturing this new topic. Fee

Oh Leysa I can truly understand this, it is such bitter sweetness knowing the love is still there and wanting the magic to be still there along side of it. As we age and years grow shorter strange things happen in loving relationships and not all of them are good. Well written my friend.

Truer words have seldom been written. I think of it as evolution... this being able to fall in love and stay in love with one so far away. We have never seemed capable of doing that before. It reminds me of this... dreams are wishes your heart makes while you sleep - Cinderella
