Changing Tides (Poetry) - 5/18/2010 5:08:44 PM
Ann-Carie, I do like this, my sands are always shifting poetic and literally, as I have made my home on an island made of sand, most of my life. However the sand seems to keep a strong structure, both poetically and literally. Thank you for sharing. Carin

I haven't seen your work before, I like your verse. I hope your blue birds will fly way up where the chimney top is. My blue birds fly on a seaside where rainbows are many.
A Chest of Hope (Poetry) - 2/6/2010 12:28:16 PM
I can really relate to this emotive poem, Ann-Carie. I have a Hope Chest that was given to me 20 years ago by the brother of my then first boyfriend, Joe. The relationship lasted for 5 years, but, as we were young, and I had yet to see the world, we parted. Now, 20 years later, we have been dating again for the past year and I look back at the things put in their when I was a teen and I see how rich our love has always been, no matter if Joe was with me or not physically, he always was, in the heart. Thank you for being back those memories with your lovely poem.

Every breathing moment of life is precious, the bad and the good melded together over time...
