The hill (Short Story) - 8/25/2011 10:58:04 AM|
only live beings can muddy the beauty and grace divined to us by His grace. a good analogy to the pristine born to our lives and meaning of life's experiences-

The morning walk (Short Story) - 2/8/2011 7:32:39 AM
I'm glad you shared this story. I expected snoring boars, NOT humans. I too snore, but hopefully not loudly enough to disturb those walking past. :)
In the middle of the night (Short Story) - 5/6/2010 10:50:17 AM
"Ten minutes later we were sitting in the balcony overlooking our garden drinking hot steaming tea. "
Is the garden drinking hot tea? I thought it's a dangling modifier.
In the middle of the night (Short Story) - 3/12/2010 4:24:11 PM
Was that it? You led me out into the desert and left me there.
Well written of course.
It ended without a ending.
I am looking under Sci-Fi and this is not it.
Like to see it finished.
I am the queen (Short Story) - 3/10/2010 4:04:41 PM
Touching story and written with a loving hand. I used to wonder about a God who would allow such pain and suffering to consume humans, especially little children who are so innocent. I am still aking that question. Good story . . .
I am the queen (Short Story) - 2/28/2010 7:23:14 PM
Yes, I know that feeling--your world is shattered by tragedy, and it seems incongruous that the rest of the world goes on, with people laughing and living ordinary lives. It seems that everything else should change, too.
I enjoyed reading this a lot, but it makes me feel like crying. You unveiled for us stories behind the faces in the beds. Truly, there is much sadness in the world.
Another thing that stood out was your absorption in the realities of your mother's illness, along with the other patients', to the extent that you had to be jolted into entering back into your daily life with its responsibilities. Thank you for sharing this intimate glimpse into your hospital visit and your heart.
Memoirs (Poetry) - 10/8/2013 3:03:46 AM
Nice poem about going back in time. I just came from a banquet in which Mike Huckabee was the keynote speaker. This was the message I learned from his speech, "Life today is much like driving a fast train. If you concentrate too much on what is behind you, you may miss the blessings that are in front of you. Even worse than that, you may even steer a bright future right off the tracks." Yes I believe that Jesus Christ places blessings to reach out for in all of his children. It's up to us to ask, seek, find, then enjoy but most of all "Thank the Lord for the blessings that He provides."

Paradox (Poetry) - 1/28/2012 7:41:53 PM
intriguingly prosaic poetry, if i may be so paradoxical... haha! actually, I quite enjoyed this aphoristic little ditty, Mr. LID.
Paradox (Poetry) - 1/21/2012 1:40:04 PM
A hoax is a paradox because it is not what it seems.
My dear wife (Poetry) - 12/8/2011 7:21:19 AM
This is a wonderful poem for your wife. I wrote a poem for my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary. She said that she will cherish it forever so it was well worth the effort. Check it out on my Authors Den website.
All the Best,

Where am I, indeed! The vast extent of gross inequality around the world is truly demoralizing. An excellent write, Mindtraveler; including the painfully apt photo.

Enchanting capture of a magical moment, Mindtraveler.

BEAUTIFUL LIFE (Poetry) - 3/8/2010 6:15:31 AM
NO ONE WILL EVER COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THE ABUNDANCE OF MERCY AND GRACE THAT FLOWS FROM ALMIGHTY GOD...HOW CAN HE LOVE THE GOOD AS WELL AS THE BAD...WHY NOT JUST, KILL OFF THE BAD AND LET THE GOOD REMAIN? BUT WHO IS REALLY GOOD AND WHO IS REALLY BAD...I AM REMINDED OF TWO THINGS THAT THE WORD OF GOD TEACHES...'MAN LOOKS ON THE OUTER ACTIONS....BUT GOD LOOKS ON THE HEART'...AND...'FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE WORD OF GOD'. INDEED, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL LIFE IN THAT WE ALL HAVE A CHANCE, EACH AND EVERY DAY TO DRAW CLOSER TO GOD AND BE FORGIVEN FOR OUR SINS...BECAUSE OF THE 'NEW MERCIES' WE RECEIVE EACH DAY. VERY GOOD WORK...DONE WELL AND ENJOYED.

UNCERTAIN LIFE (Poetry) - 2/28/2010 7:04:42 PM
Much is uncertain in life; one sure thing is that God loves me and has a plan for my life.
There's a lot of truth in your poem. One thing remains amidst the uncertainty: God never changes.

a sage once said...the only thing real in the world is change...people come and go like seasons, each has a time and place in our hearts to love and let flow wherever they go
UNCERTAIN LIFE (Poetry) - 1/30/2010 7:41:26 PM
I appreciate this poem. It makes me think of one of my favorite Emily Dickinson lines:
That it will never come again
Is what makes life so sweet.
